The ICC Team of the Year selects the 11 best players who have impressed everyone, whether with the bat, the ball, or their all-around performance in a calendar year. The ICC yesterday announced the ODI Team of the Year. The ICC has already announced the T20 team.


The following are the Pakistani players in the ODI Team of the Year

• Babar Azam (c) (Pakistan) 

Despite only making six appearances in 2021, Babar is averaging 67.50 scorings 405. Pakistan captain played a key role in the difficult tours of South Africa and England. He scored 100 memorable tons in Birmingham's tough conditions. 

He is also captain of the ICC ODI Team of the Year. Babar's performance as the captain also stood up in South Africa when Pakistan beat South Africa in their backyard.


• Fakhar Zaman (Pakistan)

Fakhar Zaman continued his excellent run in Pakistan's ODI team in the year 2021. Playing 6 matches, he scored 365 runs with the help of two centuries. In 2021, his ODI average was 60.83. One of the centuries was scored in an innings against South Africa that will be remembered for ages. Fakhar scored 193 runs, chasing 342 in Johannesburg, almost winning the match for Pakistan.


There is no Indian in this ODI list as was in the T20I List.

These Players are the Top performer in ODI Cricket in 2021 and they manage to book their place in the ICC eleven.
